Chocolate Chip Cookies (Bim's)

This is a recipe originally from the Betty Crocker Cookbook that I have modified to my tastes a bit over the years...

3 and 1/4 C flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 and 1/3 C butter
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 bag (12 oz) chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375. Sift dry ingredients and set aside. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Add dry ingredients and blend. Add chips and stir. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 8-9 minutes. Cool on racks.
