We love this with turkey, baked chicken, even ham. Yummy and festive, and a nice change from plain cranberry sauce!
1 navel orange, peeled, tough membrane removed, chopped
1/4 cup orange juice or apple cider
12 ounces fresh cranberries
1-3/4 cups sugar
1 large golden delicious apple, peeled, cored, chopped (I actually leave the peel on, and use whatever kind of apple I have in)
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnits
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp ground ginger (I also add 1 Tbsp peeled and chopped fresh ginger)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Combine all in large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 8 minutes, until cranberries are popping.
