Fresh Orange Loaf Cake

This is from Mom's recipe box. 

2 C. sifted cake flour
1 1/4 C. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. shortening (butter)
1/2 C. liquid (grated rind and juice from 1 orange, with water to make 1/2 C.)
2 large eggs

Sift dry ingredients together into bowl. Add shortening and liquid. Beat 2 minutes. Add eggs. Beat 2 more minutes. Pour into loaf pan.

Bake 350 degrees, 60-65 minutes.
