Mom's Meatloaf

To avoid fights at the table, Mom laid the bacon diagonally across the meatloaf, so that each slice had some bacon.

3 lbs. ground meat
2 tbsp. minced onion
3 eggs
2 tsp. each salt & pepper
3 slices milk bread*
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. mustard

FOR TOP:
Bacon
Tomato Sauce (or ketchup)
Oregano

Mix meatloaf ingredients lightly but thoroughly. Form loaf and place in roasting pan. Add toppers. Bake at 400° for 1 hour.

*Soak bread in milk, squeeze out and discard excess milk.
