
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1/2 c. cocoa
Filling:
1 1/2 sticks butter
1/4 c. powdered sugar
7 oz jar of marshmallow creme
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add beaten egg. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix all, alternating dry ingredients with milk and vanilla. Drop in heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 425° for 8 minutes.
Mix filling ingredients well. Sandwich filling between baked cakes.
